I think the installer's scripts are doing a version-check and even though the drivers work with 10.11 its version number is outside the scripted parameters. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the version-checking to change. Heck, I wouldn't mind moving things around manually if I could unpack the components and knew where they went. I am also unable to install the drivers on OS 10.11.
